About Guaymas
Guaymas is a great place for a fun retirement in Mexico. It is located on the East shore of the Gulf of California, standing on a small bay South of the Sonoran desert. With a population of 145,000, Guaymas is the second largest port in the Mexican Pacific, near the major cities of Hermosillo (73 mi.), Cd. Obregon (86 mi.) and Tucson, AZ (211 mi.). Guaymas warm to hot dry weather is perfect for all types of aquatic activities, with annual average temperatures of 55 F to 90 F, great for a retirement in Mexico.

Guaymas is famous for its legendary sport fishing, beautiful beaches and modern marinas in the nearby San Carlos Bay (12 mi.). One of Mexico's liveliest and most famous carnivals takes place in Guaymas on February.
