About Queretaro
Queretaro is situated in the "Sierra Gorda" region in the center of Mexico. At an elevation of 5,971 ft, valleys and mountains surround it. Queretaro is near Mexico city (134 mi.), Morelia (120 mi.), and Guanajuato (98 mi.). Queretaro enjoys a mild semiarid weather with an annual average temperature of 60 to 72 F. The rainy season in Queretaro is from June to September with an average precipitation of 22 inches.

Attractions - Mexico Retirement
Queretaro, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, is the cultural and economic center of the "Bajio" region. Spanish Colonial buildings of the XVI to XVIII centuries adorn downtown Queretaro with its XVIII century 0.8 mi. aqueduct. The quaint town of Tequisquiapan, at 45 miles of Queretaro, hosts every year the International Cheese and Wine Fair. Wine and cheese lovers can indulge in cheese and wine tasting, and attend expositions, lectures, conferences and workshops presented by national and international experts.
