Xalapa stands in the natural boundary between the warm lower lands of the coast and the Mexican plateau. Nearby cities include Veracruz (72 mi.), Puebla (122 mi.), Tlaxcala (142 mi.) and Mexico city (195 mi.). The weather in Xalapa is mild warm and humid with rain throughout the year.
